Adventure Racing Meets BASH = Adventure Biking
Adventure racing meets BASH in this high-energy biking experience through Gopeng’s legendary terrain. Starting and ending at Nomad Adventure’s eco-friendly Earth Camp, the route revisits highlights from the iconic Eco-X Adventure Race series (2003–2014). These events helped establish Gopeng, Perak, as Southeast Asia’s adventure capital, known for whitewater rafting, caving, and world-class eco-tourism.
SHORT RIDE:
The Short Ride (16 km) offers a scenic loop perfect for beginners and families. The main 14 km section meanders through Malay villages, orchards, and small farms, with lovely views of the Kampar River and limestone cliffs. The extra 2 km optional loop cranks things up with steep ascents and punchy descents—ideal for riders ready to taste the grit of XC biking. Don’t miss the exhilarating tunnel ride which is a fitting finale for the adventure!

LONG RIDE:
The Long Ride (27.6 km) consists of a 11.6km extension that hits hard with climbs that burn, descents that test your control on abandoned logging roads fringed by the jungle and stunning cliffs. The out-and-back finale takes you to a secluded hidden cave rarely visited by others, offering a true off-the-beaten-path adventure. Be prepared—a headlamp is essential and wet feet are guaranteed!
