Time: Briefing 9:15am sharp, ride off 9:30am
Everyone is welcome to join any Bash, no need to enrol with the full RM90 for the year, just turn up and pay a nominal RM20/rider. If you enjoy the experience you can join for the year by paying the RM70 difference at the end of the day or never show up again.
Follow Lebuhraya Utara - Selatan/E1 (NKVE) towards Ipoh
Take Exit 118 - Bkt. Beruntung toward Bkt. Beruntung/Serendah/Batang Kali
After exiting the toll, turn right at the traffic light onto Route 3208 towards Bukit Sentosa (Bukit Beruntung)
At the 1st set of traffic lights go straight
At the 2nd traffic light turn right toward Prima Beruntung
Continue going straight for 3km and you’ll see a sign board that says Jalan Mawar, turn right !! (Jalan Mawar 2)
Go straight for 60m and you’ll see a row of abandon shop lots on your right (see attach photo)
Many have enjoyed this super flowy trail from the outset. But alas, do not take it for granted that this is the “normal” Usual Suspects outing as we will return to what we refer as Section 1 for this first bash of 2023. Expect wide double trails with some elevation and a lot of shade through rubber plantations and perhaps a surprise (if Mr. Paul got his finger out last weekend).
There is a short ride of 11km with around 400m of elevation.
The long ride is around 20km with around 690m of elevation.
Above all, no helmet no ride and please stay on paper. If you lose the trail, double back to the last paper. We will not leave you high and dry, the paper is well laid.
WHAT TO BRING
We recommend you bring an absolute minimum of 3-4 liters of water and some solid food. Also lots of mozzie repellent, sunblock, spare tube(s), bicycle pump, a pair of shoes, cable ties, spare pedals, extra saddle, brake pads, and a good sense of humor. Last but not least, NO HELMET NO RIDE!
TIPS FOR THE RIDE
Extra liquid is highly advisable (Min 3 liters, 4 if you’re not a season bash rider for both long and short)
Electrolytes recommended if you're a mediocre rider attempting the long ride.
Stay on Paper!!! If you ride and you are off paper, please do the right thing and back track to pick up paper and follow paper!!
Ride in a group and put on a big smile on your face as it’ll help to ease the pain.
