So you’ve been riding a few Bashes and you think ” Well, I did good on the previous rides and it was lotta fun”… Be warned, the Broga Bash will take its toll on you, on your bike and on your morale - and the following in Bentong will be worse - !
The time to suffer has come, lads ! This Bash is NOT suitable for children, beginners, unprepared, unfit and other one-legged riders !
Make sure you are physically ready, that you’ve packed the essential gears for a Bash and remember the basic list below:

The area around Broga has played host to great mountain bike events before, and there is a reason for it. The beautiful laid-back kampung scenery with a serene backdrop of jungle-covered hills, all kinds of farms, orchards and plantations, and a network of small roads and trails provide an ideal environment for mountain biking. For this Bash, we’ve linked up some of our favorite trails in the area to a short and a long loop that we believe will make your trip out there on Sunday morning worth your while.
In fact, we think you don’t want to miss these!

The Long Ride
No pain, no gain. 30km of everything you’d expect from a Bash. There is plenty of flowy single track, little stream crossings, a blazing fast and a more technical downhill. Oh, and two hills. Proper hills. However, this long ride totally lacks pushing sections, although - consider yourself warned - it’s a long walk if you run out of steam halfway up either of those two hills. And you really want to keep some stamina for the downhill thrill on the other side.
The total ascent you cover on this ride is considerably more than on an average Bash. Know your limits and stay well within them; one of the best sections is at the end. This one is for the more experienced Long riders, either fit enough or prepared to enjoy the suffering.
The Short Ride
A scenic loop over 13km of varied trails through orchards, farms, plantations and some forest with great views of the beautiful countryside in many places. This short ride is meant to be a pleasant and enjoyable ride while at the same time have all the elements of a proper bash. It goes along paved kampung roads, double track, single track, down some fun downhill sections, through a few streams and over a small hill. Well, it’s quite a respectable hump actually, small compared to those in the long loop maybe. This Short is not suitable for young kids but should be a worthy alternative for riders who decide to skip the Long this time.
Besides, the usual advice applies. In particular, make sure you bring enough water (I mean 3L), some snacks, sunblock, a well maintained bike and a helmet. No helmet, no ride !

Directions
There are different ways to get there; the following directions are from the Kajang Exit of the North-South Highway. If using a GPS, although the Bash Start is set to +2° 54’ 17.00”, +101° 57’ 7.00” or 2.904722, 101.951944, you may want to set a waypoint at N2.896348, E101.927866 / +2° 53’ 46.85”, +101° 55’ 40.32” the coordinates of the left turn at KM 29.1, as the last road is not on all maps.

Parking
We’ll be parking on a football field and the parking space is expected to be a bit tight, in view of the large turnout at recent bashes. Please consider car-pooling. We’ll try to help with the parking to maximize the number of vehicles that can fit, please follow the instructions and park neatly on the field.
On On !!!
