Without a doubt, that was an epic. Congrats to Ying How, all the co-hares, and everyone else who lent a hand to make such an event possible. So many details, so well done. Everyone of you deserve a big round of applause for all your hard effort.
Yes, the rain made things extra difficult, but that’s a factor beyond human control. Late June is statistically the best time for such an event but we all wore the proof home that in Malaysia it can rain anytime, even in the midst of what should be the dry season. It was good planning to have a number of places to bail out and head home when the slogging got to be too much to bear. And if Mother Nature intervened to keep the event from attaining perfection maybe that’s only to give something to aim for next year.
